Ataxia is a band comprised of John Frusciante (also of the Red Hot Chili Peppers) on guitar, Joe Lally (Fugazi) on bass, and Josh Klinghoffer (Bicycle Thief) on drums. They released the album Automatic Writing in 2004, which featured all three band members contributing vocals - John sings "Dust", "The Sides", and "Addition", Josh sings "Another", and Joe sings "Montreal." The songs all feature a ground-bass line with the guitar overlaying different motives and long developments.

Their next album was originally scheduled to be released on December 1, 2006 according to johnfrusciante.de, but according to Amazon.de, the album was pushed back to a release date of January 1, 2007. The official website is now reporting it will be released on March 6, 2007. (Actually, there is no official website and the album was not released on March, 6. Amazon claims the album will be available March, 20). The album will be the second half of the sessions the band recorded before releasing their first album in 2004 which features the original trio of Frusciante, Lally, and Klinghoffer.

Gracias! De corazón. No soy ningún elitista snob, pero estoy convencido que la mayoría de la gente simplemente no está en condiciones de entender lo que ofrece John al margen de los peppers.
